We collect information you provide directly: your name, email address, and password when you create an account. We also collect recipe and ingredient data you enter into the platform.
We use your information to provide and improve the NutriPanel service, authenticate your account, save your recipes, and communicate with you about your account.
Your data is stored securely in a PostgreSQL database hosted via Supabase or Neon. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and are never stored in plain text.
We use Google OAuth for optional sign-in. If you use Google sign-in, Google's privacy policy also applies. We query the USDA FoodData Central API and Health Canada's CNF — these queries do not include your personal information.
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share data as required by Canadian law.
We use session cookies for authentication purposes only. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
Under PIPEDA, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@nutripanel.ca.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account settings.
